Lucy Dickins, the influential global leader of WME’s music division, is exiting the agency after an industry-first run that reshaped the company’s presence in both the U.K. and U.S. markets.
In a memo to staff obtained by Billboard, WME co‑chairman Christian Moorhead praised Dickins’ impact across two continents, crediting her with revitalizing the agency’s London office before stepping into the top music role in Los Angeles during “one of the most disruptive periods in the live music business.” Moorhead noted that Dickins “re‑energized our presence in London, built a strong team, and solidified WME’s leadership in the region,” adding that her leadership through the COVID‑19 shutdown provided “critical support” as the industry scrambled to rebuild.

Following the pandemic, Dickins championed major signings, developed new touring models and infused the department with what Moorhead called “exceptional heart and enthusiasm.” WME veteran Kirk Sommer will continue leading the contemporary music division, with further updates expected.
Dickins was promoted to global head of contemporary music and touring in 2022, becoming the first woman to oversee a major talent agency’s music division. At WME she oversaw the entire contemporary live business, shaping strategy for an artist roster that, over the past year, drove major touring successes including Luke Combs’ stadium run and international growth for Chris Stapleton. The agency also signed Rosé, Carín León and EJAE while continuing work with top touring acts Benson Boone and Zach Bryan.
Before joining WME in 2019, Dickins spent more than 20 years at International Booking Talent (ITB), the London agency founded by her father, Barry Dickins and Rod MacSween. Her family’s influence spans generations: her grandfather Percy Dickins created NME, her uncle Rob Dickins led Warner Music UK for 15 years, and her brother Jonathan Dickins manages Adele, Glass Animals and Rick Rubin.
Dickins, a regular on Billboard’s Women in Music, International Power Players and Power 100 lists, has not announced her next move.
