Wuthering Heights-Inspired Fashion for Spring 2026

My bestie and I had a recent girl’s night that included pizza (duh), wine (duh), a stop at the bodega to pick up some sweet treats, and then, of course, a movie night—ahem, a Wuthering Heights night, to be exact. And, let me preface, we both hadn’t read the book, but we were shocked by the tweens who overtook the theater. Naturally, said movie goers swooned over Jacob Elordi (the squeals were constant); meanwhile, my bestie and I were more so in awe of Margot Robbie’s (a.k.a., Catherine’s) style, so much so that I’m now using her as my blueprint for spring dressing—even as a self-proclaimed minimalist, which says a lot!

Think: romantic, ethereal, lace-y, subtly sexy, and moody. TBH, that’s the perfect vibe for spring and summer 2026, and, given pop culture’s influence on the real world, I predict to see a lot of, well, Wuthering Heights-inspired fashion moments in the coming weeks. That said, there’s a tasteful, elegant way to do it, and I was determined to build a capsule wardrobe that’s a 2026 version of key style trends prevalent in the film. So, take a look below—and, consider swapping overdone florals for something a bit more moody. If this minimalist (me!) can do it, so can you.

Elegant Corseting

Warner Bros. Pictures

It wouldn’t be the late Georgian era without corseting. There’s one scene in the movie that stuck with me; Catherine is being tied into her corseted wedding dress and she keeps requesting it be tighter, symbolic of her psychological constriction and internal conflict (sorry, too deep?). Nevertheless, boned and structured garments were key, and I personally love the waist cinching illusions they create. I particularly love this romantic, elegant draped LPA corset top

Peasant Blouses

Warner Bros. Pictures

Perhaps the easy way to get in on the Wuthering Heights hype is with a breezy, ethereal peasant blouse. The boho-inspired staple is always a spring favorite, but thanks to Robbie and Elordi, it’s going to blow up even more. If you really want to go full Cathy, you can layer a corset over a puff-sleeve top. I, however, plan to style mine breezy picks with dark-wash jeans for a slightly more 2026 approach.

Pops of Red

Warner Bros. Pictures

Pops of red were very common on screen, and there’s obviously a deeper meaning (spoiler but not really: it’s symbolic of intense, destructive passion, rage, and doomed love.) That said, I also just love a red fashion moment because it’s powerful and sexy—and you can choose your level of color. For subtle pops, go with a cherry-red heel or for something more bold, consider a red skirt that commands attention.

Lace-y Things

Warner Bros. Pictures

Nothing says love and lust quite like lace, right? Right. While subtly incorporated into Cathy’s look, the sheer material is key to achieving a gothic romance-esque look that was also key in Robbie’s press looks. You can choose your level of sheerness, too. Wear touches of it as seen on this Meshki cami or go bold and with this House of CB find that combines two Wuthering Heights-esque trends into one.
