Yes, Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen Are Getting Home Support

But the most important question for me still has not been answered: will they be distributing event-exclusive Pokémon (Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Jirachi, and Deoxys) in these rereleases of FireRed and LeafGreen, like they did with the originals?

If yes, how will they be distributed? Will it be through some sort of online feature that I can do at home, or will I have to drive to somewhere like GameStop and download it there? Or will I have to link up with someone distributing these Pokémon and trade one of my own for it?

The reason I ask is because I very stupidly deleted my original save file on my GBA copy of FireRed in 2016, completely forgetting about the Mew that I had on it, which I got from a distribution event at Toys “R” Us in 2006. I was trying to catch Suicune, got it down to a sliver of its health, but then afflicted it with the Poison status effect. So I decided to start over, but once I had realized what I had done, it was too late.

Now, I could use an Action Replay or GameShark device to reacquire Mew (plus the other Pokémon I missed out on), but I am afraid to do so, as it can freeze or corrupt my game; something I learned with the Action Replay device for the DS, which I used on Star Fox Command, Metroid Prime Hunters, and Pokémon Pearl. So I would rather avoid that if I can.

Ergo, I want confirmation that these event-exclusive Pokémon will be distributed again in some fashion before I even consider purchasing them.
