Does anyone else LOVE reading Pinterest’s annual trend report at the beginning of a new year? Their team analyzes data from actual Pinterest searches, including how old the Pinterest users are, to put it together. For someone with a job like mine, it’s an easy way to stay up to date!! I can’t say I love every new trend they’ve unearthed (like animal-inspired outfits with bold prints or maximalist accessories that give 80s luxury…) but two of them did immediately stick out to me. Are any others sticking out to you??
POETCORE

Depending on who you talk to, this isn’t exactly a new trend– to me, “poetcore” seems pretty similar to “dark academia.” Just more feminine! I don’t think the earthy palettes are necessary to try the fashion trend, but they certainly don’t hurt either. A few of my favorite pieces here include the bow loafers, the $37 TikTok viral tote, and chic green skirt.
ICY BLUES
Sneakers // Headband // Loafers
Out of all the Pinterest trends, this one is definitely the most “Carly!!” (Not to mention, a breeze to transition to warmer months.) The term “cool blues” can mean something different to everyone, so I tried to focus on truly icy tones instead of a wide range of different colors. Look closely and you’ll see that the patent loafers have little heart-shaped buckles… darling! I’ve also heard the best things about Gap’s CashSoft line, so obviously I had to incorporate the cozy sweater pants. The woven flats, however, are my favorite.
