Small ensembles of orchestra musicians will perform:

·      Saturday, April 11, at 7:30 pm, at the Maple Park Lutheran Church, 17620 60th Ave. West, in Lynnwood; and

·      Tuesday, April 28, at 7:00 pm, in the large room at the Edmonds Waterfront Center, 220 Railroad Ave., in Edmonds.

“Cascade Symphony is excited to continue its tradition of April chamber music concerts at two beautiful venues,” said Edward Benyas, CSO Executive Director. “Maple Park Church in Lynnwood, which hosts a concert on April 11, has fine acoustics and great sightlines for the audience. On April 28, patrons can enjoy listening to two four-movement works—a string sextet and a Sinfonietta for ten winds—all while overlooking beautiful Puget Sound at the Edmonds Waterfront Center at the end of the month. We are especially excited to present these two full length works by 19th century composers at the Waterfront Center.”

The April 11 Lynnwood concert features nine different ensembles performing music from the 18th through 21st centuries, in an excellent acoustical setting. The concert will include music by well-known composers such as Handel, Beethoven, Rossini and Dvorak, lesser-known established composers like Anton Reicha and William Grant Still, and several living composers. Chamber ensembles include the Cascade Symphony Wind Quintet, Cascade Symphony Percussion Ensemble, the Vilachel String Quartet, and several duos and trios.

For the April 28 Edmonds concert, Cascade Symphony continues its Fall/Spring concerts partnership with the Edmonds Waterfront Center. Unlike the shorter excerpts on the April 11 concert, this program comprises two full length works: Antonin Dvorak’s String Sextet in A Major, Op. 48, and the Sinfonietta for Ten Winds in F Major, Op. 188 by the prolific German Romantic era composer, Joachim Raff. Performing artists are longtime members of the Cascade Symphony string, woodwind and brass sections.

Concert ticket prices are: $15 for adults and $5 for students of any age and can be purchased in advance online through the Edmonds Center for the Arts website (https://www.edmondscenterforthearts.org/event-categories/cascade-symphony-orchestra/), by telephone (425-275-9595), or in person (noon to 5:00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday). Tickets are also available by cash, check or credit card the night of the concert at each venue 30 minutes before the performance.

The Cascade Symphony’s final concert of the 2025-26 season is Monday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m., at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. Additional information about the Cascade Symphony Orchestra is available online at www.cascadesymphony.org.
