A glimpse of history: The first subprime ABS ‘tombstone’ 


They call them “tombstones” for a reason: because they mark history.  This image of auto financing history is of the “tombstone,” a Lucite keepsake to commemorate the first securitization of subprime auto loans back in 1992.
