California Fashion Act will hold companies accountable

In the race to make products as inexpensively and quickly as possible, the footwear and apparel industry has become one of the most polluting on the planet. Despite dire warnings about the need to cut emissions and pleas to businesses to clean up their acts, it’s become clear the industry cannot — or will not — regulate itself. The California Fashion Environmental Accountability Act can change that and represents a direct way for the industry to contribute to climate action.
