TEXARKANA, Texas — Classic movies, ice skating and a lot more seasonal fun are on tap for this year’s Christmas on Main, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Perot Theatre.
The event has become a family-friendly tradition in recent years, drawing crowds to participate in a daylong slate of holiday-themed activities including horse drawn carriage rides, vendors and food trucks, crafts, live music, and of course a visit from Santa Claus.
This year’s movies are “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas” at 10 a.m., “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at 2 p.m. and “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” at 7 p.m.
A general admission ticket for “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas” costs $6. For $20, a Santa VIP package is available that includes a movie ticket, a meet and greet with Santa and friends, and a special treat.
General admission for “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is also $6. A Who Feast package costs $30 and includes a movie ticket and a snack onstage Whoville style with the Grinch.
“Christmas Vacation” tickets cost $8, and a pass for all three movies costs $15. Ice skating costs $5 per person.
