Head Bitch Music returns with a louder, prouder, and far-more-sparkly sequel: Sleigh the Holidays, Volume II, released November 4th, 2025. Following the success of last year’s inaugural compilation, this edition doubles down on what made the first so special, with a lineup of women, non-binary, and queer artists who reshape the holiday season in their own image.
With 17 artists boasting a combined reach of more than 15 million followers, the record is a cultural moment and a charitable one, benefiting Jack Antonoff’s The Ally Coalition to support LGBTQIA+ youth.
Sonically, Sleigh the Holidays, Volume II is a wildly colorful sleigh ride. It kicks off with “Christmas Time (Me, Myself and I)” by BITTERS, a self-aware anti-Christmas anthem disguised as a festive bop. Glistening guitars shimmer beneath her luscious vocal, and though she quips, “It’s Christmas time and it makes me wanna die.”
Immediately after, The Blah Blah Blahs pull us into a dizzy disco-rock whirlwind with their Blondie-kissed take on “Jingle Bells,” while Liv Slingerland downshifts into a soft-lit living-room glow with a meditative acoustic “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” Queer romance gets the spotlight as NIKI DEMAR and Julianne Hope trade tender harmonies over soothing piano in their cover on girl in red’s “Two Queens in a King Sized Bed.”
Elsewhere, heartbreak gets buried beneath snow in Skyler Cocco’s original “snowglobe,” and Frances Anderson lends gentle indie-folk comfort to “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” JPOLND turns up the sultry heat in “Santa Baby,” letting grinding guitars and thumping beats turn wish-lists into flirt-lists, while Devon Michael closes out the tracklist with a Celtic-tinted, elegant “Auld Lang Syne” that feels like lifting a glass to chosen family everywhere.
Every artist puts the season through a queer kaleidoscope. Sleigh the Holidays, Volume II proves the holidays aren’t just red and green. They glitter in every shade of the rainbow.
