“ChaO” — (Anime, not rated, 90 minutes). In a world where mermaids and humans share a troubled coexistence, Stephan, an employee at a shipbuilding company, has big ideas on how to save the sea. But his life is turned upside down when a mermaid princess named Chao asks him to marry her.
“Exit 8” — (Horror, PG-13, 95 minutes). After getting trapped in an endless subway passage, a salaryman’s only way out is to complete a mission and leave from Exit 8. However, if he discovers any anomalies along the way, he must turn back immediately and start again.
“Faces of Death” — (Horror, R, 98 minutes). When a woman who is employed as a website content moderator for a major video platform discovers violent, reproduced murder scenes from an original film, she is determined to find out if the violence is being created for fiction online or is happening in real time.
“Hunting Matthew Nichols” — (Thriller, R, 89 minutes). While a documentary filmmaker sets out to solve the case of her brother’s disappearance from Vancouver Island two decades ago, she finds a piece of evidence that makes her believe that her brother is still alive.
“The Royal Ballet: Giselle” — (Special event, not rated, 138 minutes). A cinematic release of Peter Wright’s production.
