The second game of the national television doubleheader on Wednesday, Jan. 7 takes place at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio where the Los Angeles Lakers are visiting the San Antonio Spurs.

The Lakers are 23-11 and the Spurs are 25-11 coming into this meeting, but both teams could be missing a key piece as both LeBron James and Victor Wembanyama are both game-time decisions as each squad is playing the second half of a back-to-back.
Los Angeles knocked off the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, 111-103, as James and Luka Doncic each had 30 with Doncic getting 10 assists, two steals and a block and James securing eight boards, dishing out eight helpers and also getting a pair of steals and a block. Deandre Ayton had 18 points, 11 boards, two blocks and a steal, and Marcus Smart chipped in 13, six boards, four assists, a steal and a block.
San Antonio couldn’t get a last-second shot against the Memphis Grizzlies and fell 106-105. De’Aarpn Fox had 9 points, eight assists and five boards and hadd his game-winning attempt blocked, essentially ending the contest. Wembanyama had 30, but only played 21 minutes as it was his first game back from injury. Julian Champagnie had 23 and eight boards, Stephon Castle had 15 with eight boards, four assists and two steals, and Keldon Johnson had 13 and five rebounds, coming off the bench with Wembanayama.
