If I could’ve taken a photo of my mom’s reaction a few weeks ago when I told her I was dying to get a pair of capris, I absolutely would’ve. She swore it was a joke! And I can’t even lie—I was just as shocked hearing myself say it aloud. It honestly felt like I’d been time-warped straight back to my Lizzie McGuire days. But alas, as they say, fashion trends are cyclical, and capri pants making their way back into the circuit has to be one of my favorite trends right now—no, one of my favorite comebacks overall.
As someone who’s always trying to find bottoms that aren’t just the same jeans I’ve been wearing for the past six months or basic trousers, capris have quickly become my go-to. They have this naturally cool and elevated vibe that makes them feel different from everything else in my denim rotation. They’re also incredibly easy to style—throw on a button-down and kitten heels for a chic office moment, or pair with a baby tee and low-profile sneakers for something more laid-back—and you’re good to go.
Black pairs are definitely my most-worn—they’re just the most versatile—but they come in a whole range of colors and prints. And honestly, I still can’t stop thinking about the polka dot pair Hailey Bieber stepped out in around New York City last year (which, let’s be real, probably helped kick off the whole capri renaissance).
Though if I had to choose one that checked all my boxes, it’s easily the TikTok-viral Edikted Sarafina Capri Pants. They’ve got the true capri look: low-rise, fitted, and a subtle hem slit detail on both legs that adds just the right little something. My favorite part? They’re $54! In this economy, when a decent pair of pants can easily run you $100 and up, this feels like there’s still hope for us budget shoppers!
I’m also loving these other styles—shop them here!
