Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the gained 2.64%.
The best performers of the session on the were Aktor Symmetochon Technikon kai Energoiakon Ergon AE (AT:), which rose 9.16% or 0.92 points to trade at 10.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Ekter (AT:) added 8.20% or 0.30 points to end at 3.96 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:) was up 7.56% or 0.28 points to 4.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Allwyn AG (AT:), which fell 5.56% or 0.80 points to trade at 13.60 at the close. Evropi Holdings SA (AT:) declined 2.92% or 0.06 points to end at 1.86 and Metlen Energy & Metals (AT:) was down 2.49% or 0.90 points to 35.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 81 to 38 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.24% or 58.90 to $4,826.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 5.74% or 5.69 to hit $93.39 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 3.61% or 3.59 to trade at $95.77 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.18, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 97.76.
