A failed Israeli strike has handed Iran one of its biggest intelligence victories in decades. Lebanese reports claim Hezbollah recovered an unexploded American GBU-39B precision bomb, extracted its electronics, and sent the components to Tehran for reverse-engineering. Pentagon officials are reportedly furious, calling the situation ‘sensitive.’ Additional reports suggest Iran also obtained parts of a massive GBU-57 bunker-buster after another misfire during June’s attacks on Iranian nuclear sites. Iranian engineers are now reportedly using the captured technology to upgrade their Fatah and Khorramshahr missiles with warheads capable of penetrating 20 meters of reinforced concrete.
