Within the context of the 27th Annual Capital Link Invest in Greece Forum, the New York Stock Exchange, in cooperation with Capital Link, organized, for yet another year, a special ceremony, in honor of Greece, titled “GREEK AMERICAN ISSUER DAY” at the New York Stock Exchange.
This event highlighted the long-standing relationship between the New York Stock Exchange and the Greek and Greek-American business communities.
The active support and participation of NYSE, the world’s largest Stock Exchange, enhances the prestige and the visibility of the Forum and of Greece to a wider international investment audience.
It also shows the stable support of NYSE to Greece, the Greek companies, the Greek shipping industry and the Greek American Diaspora. The U.S. capital Markets are a major source of capital for a growing number of companies of Greek interest and the New York Stock Exchange is playing a leading role in this.
Capital Link Forum showcases Greece’s business potential
The 27th Annual Capital Link Invest in Greece Forum, titled “Building on Success: Unlocking Greece’s Investment Potential”, successfully concluded in New York with the core message that Greece has definitively moved past its crisis-era image and is now a success story of strong recovery and a reliable investment destination.
Organizers say that thanks to government reforms and growth prospects, the country is fully open to investment, encouraging an open investment framework with the aim of more cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
The reforms, growth prospects (with a growth rate above the EU average for the sixth consecutive year), and the latest energy and geopolitical upgrades to development are among the factors creating fertile ground for attracting new investors to the country.
The Forum showcased Greece’s competitive advantages and focused on business and investment opportunities across the major sectors of the economy, as well as the challenges facing the global economy today.
